Exotic Guitars

As I’m surfing the net for best guitar ever made not to mention its sound quality, I have bump to a website that is uniquelly posting cool designs electric and acoustic guitars. Behold the bizarre guitars list.

Motor Guitar

This guitar was designed around these concepts, plus the similarity of the shape of a chopper without the forks and front wheel. to offset electric guitar bodies. (Further proof that the guitar and bike are related).

The Dragon Lyre

This instrument almost feels like a portable Harpsichord since you can play passages on the 6 and 12 string necks over chords that have been strummed on the Harp. With so many strings, there’s a sympathetic vibration for every note you play.

Folk Legend

This country/rock/folk acoustic electric is named Folk Legend as all icons of Americana are on the instrument, the flag, liberty bell, congressional coat of arms; and the entire instrument is morphing into an Eagle. Played acoustically, the sound is enormous for an instrument only 1″ thick. The one piece body and neck are of lacewood, a very hard but porous wood. Imagine styrofoam made of rock maple.

King of Bass

The challenge with this instrument, was to select blocks of wood to match the lion’s body. Figured maple often called “Tiger Striped” was used for the muzzle, chest, and hind legs. The tail was made of birds eye maple to give it a mottled or tawny look, and the main and tail end were carved of blocks of mahogany inlaid with satinwood. The eyes were made of yellow and green pearl to glow in the light, and whiskers were classical guitar strings, sometimes called “catgut”. The traditional bass guitar head takes on the shape of a lions paw, with claws of tortoiseshell.

LTD DEVIL GIRL

The ESP/LTD Devil Girl guitar has a devil girl body made from a molded plastic composite. The 24.75″ scale length bolt-on neck is made from maple with a rosewood fingerboard. It has flame inlays and a tail inlay ending at the 12th fret. Hardware is black: a tune-o-matic bridge with string though body and an EMG HZ H-4 pickup at the bridge. Around 100 were made in total.

ESP ANGEL SWORD

This guitar was custom made by ESP for Takamizawa, the guitar player from Japanese rock band The Alfee. It has a Steinberger style bridge with tuners. Single humbucking pickup, marked Takamizawa custom. Carved bird/angel shaped body. Headless bolt-on neck is shaped to look like a sword, and has a locking nut.
